Cloth Diaper Acronyms

Cloth Diaper Acronyms

At the time I’m writing this, I’ve been in the cloth community for over eight years. That’s quite a long stretch of time that I’ve had to really learn the lingo. And not just the lingo, but the shorthand and acronyms so widely used on social media, blogs, and even the cloth diaper companies themselves!

It doesn’t matter if your baby has some kind of skin condition or not, putting disposable diapers on them could cause a reaction.

Does Cloth Diapering Really Save Money?

So, we all know having kids can be/get expensive. Depending on your family’s situation there can be daycare costs, formula costs, toys, clothes, and as always diapers. I remember sitting down one day 9 months pregnant trying to figure out if I had enough disposable diapers for my daughters first couple months. I didn’t.

How to Wash Cloth Diapers

Even new diapers need to be washed.  Before you use it, it's important to wash and dry at least once.  Most diapers are fully prepped after 5 full washes and dry cycles.  The more a diaper is washed, the more absorbent it gets.  For best results use hot water for the wash and cold water rinses (if an option on your washing machine).
